Today, our Kumar Wang Library hosted the first ever Parent Council Volunteer Fair. Potential parent volunteers were encouraged to serve on one of four committees representing fun-raising, community service, community engagement and caring initiatives.
"By contributing to events and activities at your children’s school," said Roseann Martin, our Parent Council president, "you are signaling to them how seriously you take their education and how seriously they should take it. I like being connected to the community, knowing what is going on,” she said. “We’re really looking for people to nominate themselves for class reps next year, people who are interested in getting engaged with their child’s class, the teachers in that class, and helping us to communicate all the events that Parent Council does throughout the year to the parents in their grade.”
