Friends Academy to Host Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Summer Series for Families and Colleagues
Written by Andrea Miller
We invite all parents, caregivers, and Friends Academy colleagues to our Summer DEI Series – a set of three workshop sessions designed to provide a place to start and/or sustain conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for all families within their homes, our classrooms, and beyond.
We welcome our...
White Families, Families of Color, and Families of Multicultural Backgrounds.
Our virtual sessions, led by Director of Diversity, Equity + Inclusion (DEI) Camille S. Edwards and members of our faculty and staff, will provide for full community and division-specific conversation. Please check your email for registration links for all three sessions:
- SESSION 1: Tues. July 14, 5:30-6:45 pm – Opening the Conversation about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- SESSION 2: Thurs. July 16, 5:30-6:45 pm: Cultivating a Growth Mindset
- SESSION 3: Wed. July 22, 5:30-6:45 pm: Family + Faculty as Partners
As we move forward, our journey together will be guided by our Quaker mission and practices, and be reflective of our commitment to ensuring that every life and experience in our community is seen, heard, and valued. We are focused on long-lasting, meaningful, and sustainable change in all of our DEI work at Friends Academy.
